Although it is hard to put yourself out there, because there is always a chance the other person will reject you as a dating partner, you won't know the answer unless you ask. Be kind, friendly, and patient. If she seems to, then move forward without giving it too much thought. Be open to making new friends.

The question isn't really whether you need a girlfriend but whether you are ready for a girlfriend. Try your best to get to your classes on time. You can't get the girl if she doesn't know you exist.
